My name is Renee and I am from the Summer Learning Journey Team. Ka pai on your work on these awesome koru and kowhaiwhai designs. They are both very beautiful and professional-looking and remind me of designs I have seen on actual wharae at maraes.

What was your inspiration for the designs? Did you enjoy this activity and did you find it easy or challenging? Your kowhaiwhai design makes me think of aroha because of the heart-like shape the korus make when they are arranged in this way.

Ngā mihi nui and keep up the excellent mahi - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer.
